Bitfarms Ltd. has completed its rebranding as Keel Infrastructure Corp., halting all new Bitcoin mining investments to reposition as a pure-play HPC/AI infrastructure operator. The pivot reflects an increasingly untenable economic reality for Bitcoin miners. Revenue per megawatt from AI workloads runs five to ten times higher than from bitcoin mining, compressing margins to the point where pivoting became a financial necessity. Bitfarms joins a growing group making similar moves: Core Scientific and TeraWulf recently repositioned as HPC operators with multi-year hyperscaler contracts, while Riot Platforms, Iris Energy, and Hut 8 have each announced plans to redirect substantial power capacity toward AI clients.
