A recent Hyperion Research study examining the metrics and adoption standards for generative AI/HPC users has revealed, among other findings, a turning point in a previously established trend in user behaviors. In all previously conducted AI-related studies by Hyperion Research, users indicated their current level of generative AI activity as either exploring in-house requirements for integration, characterizing potential performance gains, or piloting/assessing integration issues. In this study, which will be available in full in the fall of 2026, for the first time the majority of users (53%) reported they are now integrating gen-AI capabilities into their existing workloads.
