The European Union Quantum Technologies Flagship, a ten-year 1 billion euro effort, tasked with fostering EU-wide capabilities in quantum technologies, recently released the first draft of its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) that outlines the comprehensive set of technologies and applications the program hopes to address in the next decade. The SRA covers a broad range of quantum-related technologies but also addresses wider goals that include building viable quantum technologies infrastructures and supply chains, fostering a trained and educated quantum workforce and user base, and supporting the development of new quantum-based products and services.

    Hyperion Research recently closed the books on the 2018 year for the high performance computing market in our market tracking database, the QView. 2018 was another high growth year, with the server market reaching $13.7 billion, and the total market (servers, storage, software and technical support services) totaling more than $27.6 billion. The market has continued to grow at a steady rate of around 6% for the past 5 years.
