Major Growth: HPC and AI Market Results for First Quarter 2025 and the Outlook for the Year

Throughout the year, Hyperion Research conducts surveys to ask buyers about their near-term expectations for spending on HPC. We ask whether in the next quarter the amount they expect to spend will increase, decrease or stay the same. If they expect spending to go up or down in the next quarter, we ask by what percentage.

This report looks at the European approach to developing both exascale computers and an indigenous, self-sufficient HPC supply chain in Europe. In recent years the EU and its Member States, along with countries including China, Japan, and the United States, have increasingly recognized the strategic importance of investing more heavily in supercomputing to accelerate scientific and industrial innovation.
