Description
Utilization of cloud-based HPC and AI-for-Science (H-AIS) has been growing steadily for quite some time and is expected to continue. The growth is being driven by users turning to the cloud to run their AI workloads and by other factors such as:
- Ability to dynamically and quickly add or remove resources
- Access to new hardware not available on-premises
- Capability to run jobs at larger scales than via on-premises
Hyperion Research forecasts cloud spending for H-AIS to grow at a 19.3% CAGR to reach $30B USD in 2030 and account for almost 22% of overall spending on H-AIS inclusive of on-premises spending.
