Description
LineShine, officially known in Chinese as 灵晟 (LingSheng), is the world’s new supercomputing leader. Installed at the National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen, the system reached No. 1 on the June 2026 TOP500 list with 2.198 exaflop/s on the High Performance Linpack (HPL) benchmark. It is the first publicly listed large supercomputer from China in nine years with performance on the HPL benchmark that exceeded the best US system by 21.5%. LineShine is the first supercomputer to exceed 2 exaflop/s of sustained 64bit double-precision performance, marking China’s return to the top of the TOP500 list since the Sunway TaihuLight led the ranking in 2017.
