DiRAC UK HPC – Application Driven Distributed Facility

The HPC User Forum was established in 1999 to promote the health of the global HPC industry and address issues of common concern to users. In April 2023, the 82nd HPC User Forum took place in Princeton, New Jersey. This update summarizes a presentation from that conference given by Travis Humble, who is the director of the Quantum Science Center (QSC), and a Distinguished Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he is the director of the lab's Quantum Computing Institute. This presentation gave highlights and updates on the goals and activities of the lab as well as insights into the national strategy for quantum technology.

This update summarizes a presentation from that meeting in the session, Leadership Computing Initiatives, entitled The European Processor Initiative, given by Jean-Marc Denis, the Chair of the Board, European Processor Initiative.
