Hyperion Research Holdings, LLC and the HPC User Forum (“we,” “us,” and “our”) are committed to protecting your information. We provide this Privacy Policy so you know about our information handling and storage practices and understand how we treat the personal information we receive about you including from attendance at forums or seminars we sponsor or host, from your use of the website(s) under hyperionresearch.com or hpcuserforum.com (collectively the “Site”) or otherwise in connection with our products or services. By attending our forums or seminars, using, browsing, or accessing the Site or contacting us in connection with our products or services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Your visit to the Site and any dispute over privacy is subject to the Terms of Use, including limitations on damages and application of the law of the State of Minnesota. Use of this Site is strictly voluntary. If you do not agree to the Site’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, you must immediate log off the Site and may not use the Site. The Data We Collect


In general, you can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. However, we collect your computer’s or mobile device’s IP address, which you necessarily disclose when you visit the Site, so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to your computer or device. The Site may utilize "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer that web pages on the Site may use to store data on your computer or send data to our web server. Use of the Data We Collect


We use personal information to provide and improve our products and services, including the Site, register you for and sponsor or host forums and seminars, publish technology based papers and presentations on the Site or through third party sites or for purposes in our legitimate interests and for compliance with applicable laws.
We process personal information on the basis that it is: (a) necessary for the performance of a contract we have with you; (b) in our or a third parties’ legitimate interests such as a contract with our client which we are required to deliver products or services; (c) where you give us your consent; or (d) for compliance with a legal obligation.
We may use your IP address to: (i) help diagnose problems with the Site, administer and improve the Site, and measure the use of the Site; (ii) identify the type of web browsers used, the pages viewed, the web sites from which a visitor found this Site, and the search terms and search engines used to find this Site; and (iii) gather other web analytics information relating to visitors’ use and navigation of the Site. This information does not identify you personally. On occasion we may aggregate this data with data on the pages visited by other users to track overall visitor traffic patterns and provide this aggregate information to vendors, business partners, or affiliates.
For registrants to any of our events, personal information comprising registrant name and respective company name may be made available at forums or seminars in the form of a hardcopy handout to registrants. We will also request and use personal information including your name, address, employer and credit card information and other information we may require in connection with your registration for a forum or seminar or services in connection therewith. In the event you are submitting a paper for publication at a forum or seminar or are making a presentation at a forum or seminar you may be requested to provide academic or experiential background which will be used in connection with the publication or presentation of the written materials or other presentation made at the forum or seminar on the Sites or a third party site. If a third-party collects event data on behalf of Hyperion Research, they are obligated to follow the Hyperion Research privacy policy and not to use the information for any other purpose.
Payment information collected for an event registration will be used strictly for purposes of payment for that event but may also be subject to the privacy policy of the payment processor.
The information we obtain using standard Internet technology, such as web beacons and other similar technologies, enables us to customize the services we offer visitors to our Site, to deliver targeted content, and to measure the overall effectiveness of our online content, advertising, or programming or other activities.
We may use your personal information for certain activities, including, without limitation, responding to your inquiries, registering for events, customer service, marketing and research, developing and displaying content tailored to your interests, providing promotional and other information to you, and to contact you regarding administrative notices. We may share this information with our affiliated entities, vendors, marketing partners, and other parties with whom we collaborate. In addition, if we use service providers, these service providers may have access to your personal information to perform contractually specified services on our behalf.
