Mid-Level Account Executive – Technology Advisory Sales (Remote)

US-Remote

Overview

Hyperion Research is looking for a Mid-Level Account Executive (technology advisory sales and client services for high performance computing) who will focus on maintaining strong client relationships and expanding our presence across the advanced computing/HPC/AI sector by promoting and selling subscription services, research reports, event sponsorships, and custom consulting services. This role will drive the full sales cycle through service completion. This position is based in the Washington, DC area, preferably Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed the sales quota for each quarter
  • Support existing client services needs
  • Understand Hyperion Research products and services to pair with client needs and challenges
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client base
  • Seek out and drive new business opportunities with an outcome of increased sales growth and overall YoY total bookings with existing and new clients across all Hyperion Research product lines
  • Renew annual subscription research and advisory services with existing client base
  • Stay current on industry announcements to help develop prospects
  • Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with Hyperion Research team members, including the Senior Account Executive, to develop opportunities within account base
  • Support the preparation of proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Maintain professional, relevant, and regular activity in online platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Travel as needed (average 1-2 days/month)

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of technology-related sales experience, marketing, or business development
  • Bachelor’s degree preferable
  • Experience in navigating industry, US government, and/or vendor-side procurement and sales
  • Solution selling experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with online platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Experience establishing and maintaining trust-based client relationships
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, independent, imaginative, and collaborative
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Prior market research industry sales experience helpful, but not required

What you will get:

  • Total compensation: $85,000-$115,000, inclusive of base salary and estimated commissions.
